An Object at Rest Cannot be Stopped!

Hello There! If you haven't been able to gather yet (either from this site, or the collage above), I have more interests than I know what to do with. From cars to comic books, music to model-building - computers, art and photography, and now fiddling with this silly web page. This is an attempt to document my many weirdnessess (such as the ability to use "weirdnessess" in a sentence).

You may want to cover yourselves with your dessert menus - I might be dangerous!

Me, in the Good-ol'-Days: Gimmie Five!
Literally.

In the beginning, all was quiet and peaceful in the world. Remember that? The earth was happily turning; spinning and humming to itself, without a care in the... er, world. Then in the late sixties, a fury of activity took place. The Soviets launched Sputnik, the U.S. landed men on the moon, and my parents had me. The year 1969 was a terrifying and exciting year for everybody - including me, who didn't have a clue as to what was going on.

Actually, I still don't.

If you couldn't guess, that's when I was born. 1969 was a good year. Crying. Screaming. Vomiting & Wetting myself. All those things you can't do anymore when you're older - unless you're drunk. Yeah, it was the good ol' days.

But things didn't stay that way.

Shortly thereafter, (okay, 15 years isn't that short) I was introduced to computers ("Hello, nice to meet you") and once again, the world was never the same. Granted, my first computer (at right) wasn't much of one. But in those days, that was still amazing. Zilog's Z-80 chip was the 'cool' thing back in the day, and Clive Sinclair may not be as big a celebrity as Bill Gates (Satan?) but he got me where I am today.

ZX-81 Forever!
My long lost love: The ZX-81
(Okay, it's not lost - It's in the den)

Hiking Photos
Pictures of the El Paso area: [click me]
For those of you who haven't seen the El Paso area (and you know who you are!) these are a few pictures I took while risking life and limb hiking in the mountains - yards (many yards) away from civilization.

And for those of you who have seen the El Paso area:
Yes, I consider El Paso part of civilization.

I have recently (for a year, or so) become active in the local branch of the Sports Car Club of America. (www.scca.org)

Our local region is mostly involved in Solo II races. It's a cool way to drive like a nut through a parking lot full of cones. Squealing sideways, out of control (you're not supposed to, but hey! It happens)

Best part? Two words: Entirely Legal!
