Racing in the SCCA

I'll Be Back.

Hopefully in a minute or so.

This page is dedicated to the using (and abusing) of my Neon ACR.

The standard Neon was designed with club racing in mind, and the ACR is a factory-built race car - It even comes with a non-speed-limited engine controller. And mine includes the rare (but easy to grip) leather steering wheel!

This is my Neon ACR (that's the "American Club Racing" model) dressed up for a race. Without the magnetic numbers and "Neon Racing" signs, the car is normally just solid red with the white stripes.

But if you have the decals and the racing tires, you might as well use them!

This is me on the back stretch, heading for the finish line. The stalwart young man is waiting for me to drive over a cone, so he can go running to put it back before the next driver.

Sometimes I like to give them something to do.

This is me back in the line, waiting to take another turn through the course. You get to run through several times (usually three or four) and your best time is the one that counts.

You get to pretend that the rest of them never happened.
